‘Young person’ dead, others injured in stabbing at Scarborough residence

Toronto police say a young person has died, and others were injured in a stabbing at a Scarborough residence on Tuesday.Officers were called to the Dundalk Drive and Antrim Crescent area around 6:30 p.m. for reports of an unknown trouble.Police later confirmed a stabbing had occurred at an apartment.Two people were assessed for injuries at the scene, and police tell CityNews that one young victim has died.There is a heavy police presence in the area. CHICAGO -- Hundreds of asylum seekers are seemingly sleeping on the floor of O'Hare International Airport with little information being offered by the city on what’s next for any of these people.The area where asylum seekers being kept is under the guise of black curtains, by the bus shuttle center, out of sight for most of the people coming through the airport. Those stationed said O'Hare has been their home for several days.“While they find another place for us to go, some have been here for 10 days, but people keep leaving and the city of Chicago will take us and will find a place for us to stay," a man from Venezuela said.He said there are hundreds of people like him are in the same boat and while it’s not their choice to sleep here there’s little else they can do.“No one likes to live there, it’s just a process that we have to wait for. LOUIS – A lost wedding ring found in St. Louis is returned to its owner in Kentucky a year and a half later, just when she needed it the most.Jamie Hawkins of Paducah lost her ring at the St. Louis Premium Outlet Mall in Chesterfield while shopping with her family. She had no idea it was gone until she got back to her hotel that night. TROY, Ill. – Troy police announced a suspect was taken into custody soon after officers responded to an early morning shooting that left one woman dead.
