LOS ANGELES - A Jack in the Box employee was stabbed by a transient while taking a break outside the fast-food restaurant in Winnetka Tuesday morning, police said. Officers responded to the incident reported in the 6800 block of De Soto Avenue just before 2:15 a.m., a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson said. Investigators believe two Jack in the Box employees were taking a break just outside the business when the suspect approached. A North Carolina family is upset after their loved one’s body was mistaken for a Halloween decoration and left outside for days. Robert Owens’ body was found in China Grove. His family discovered that a lawncare worker mowed around his near-naked body, thinking it was a prop. (BCN) -- Two Sunnyvale hotels that have sat vacant for more than a year are slated for demolition and will be replaced with a private parking lot.Zoning Administrator George Schroeder approved plans at a hearing last week for San Francisco-based Prologis to build a ground level, 90-space surface parking lot for commercial fleets at 331 and 385 Weddell Drive.
